A long branch shingled in small black triangles lying in a bed of shredded white paper. Jutting out one side there is a broken branch with an eyepiece that looks onto an infinite field of flashing and spiraling colors.
The Kaleidoscope was built into the a branch using mirrors, a mini fan motor, and LED lights on a programmable board.
